Tonight is the first of three Presidential Debates. It's an opportunity for Kerry to reach out to the 80 million or so Americans that will be watching. Mr. Kerry, please come through for us. We're counting on you.
Top 3 things I'd like to hear from John Kerry tonight:
1. Clear up your stance on Iraq once and for all and then move on. It's time to clear up the flip-flaps and shut up the attack dogs once and for all. Offer your stance and plan on Iraq, explain how you came to that conclusion and then move that issue to the background. There are still other problems to address.
2. This election is really about Change vs. more of the same. Are we better off now than we were four years ago? HELL NO! Why? What will you do differently? How will you help America's economy to stabilize and then grow? How will you pay down the deficit? What will you do to end America's dependence on foreign oil? How will your foreign policy differ from your opponent's? Answer these questions honestly with good smart answers and the election is yours.
3. It's the economy stupid. Focus on the economy, the tax cuts for the rich, jobs, gas prices and all of the things that are the true threat to American security. Without good jobs and a stable and growing economy, we have nothing. Bush and Co. have failed us miserably in this regard and they need to be removed for at least this, if nothing else.
