Lately I’ve been doing much more print design than I’m used to. Much more in fact than I have ever done before. The closest I’ve ever come to this volume was in 2002 when I was cranking on some heavy freelance projects. Getting back into print design for someone that’s been immersed in web design is something akin to a rodeo rider suddenly having to become a racing jockey. They require similar fundamentals but the technical aspects are a horse of a different color. Here are some great resources that have helped me to get back in the print designer’s saddle:

Yeah, I am constantly switching between print, flash, and php. Mindnumbing at times... but great way to keep things fresh and reduce inhibitions and bad habits you get from working too much in any medium. I recommend, if possible, going a full day in one medium and then a full day in another and so on... You'll never get bored... ever.
