Nice! I'm pimpin' the 2002 $130 Huffy from Walmart myself.

Rev. Willcore

it's ride time, bitch.

I'm going out of my mind waiting for my bike. I can't wait! I'm gonna go hogwild on the streets of the Big Dirty.

That's a sweet looking ride. I have the 2002 Milano (only 7 speed Nexus hub) and it's been great, but I wouldn't want to put in too many serious biking hours on it. I mean, it's a great bike, but if you're really going to put in hours, you can do better. The Milano makes a great city bike -- short rides, lots of traffic, stop and go, frequent shfting stuff. It's perfect for that, although, after three years of what I wouldn't consider overly rigorous use the rear end (the Nexus hub) is making some very unpleasant grinding noises. I have no idea what that means....

Anyway, enjoy your bike -- it's a great machine!

p.s.: This random comment is just from someone who googled "Bianchi Milano" and you happened to be in the top three results.

I have a 2002, like Jonah... if my seven-speed hub ever wears out, I'll just upgrade to the new eight-speed version, and continue biking. Bad news for me is, it's raining where I am... and raining... and raining....

*sorry about the above mess. somehow, when I posted, something happened, and my post replaced the one above. might want to check that...!*

As far as the nexus grinding after 3 years of wet riding. You need your rear hub regreased. It's a simple procedure, clean them off, pack it full of grease and roll another three years. Or have a competant LBS do it for you.

I have had my 120th Anniversary Bianchi Milano for almost 3 years. I fell in love with it right away...even before I took it for a test ride. What a great bike! It's the Bently of city bikes. A classic and timeless appearance...
