Yesterday was a really nice day chocked full of great activities and delights. I started off by attending the opening day of the 2005 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival with my co-workers, an annual event that we have each year as a department. I ate some really delicious treats including a Nachitoches Meat Pie, a Pork & Cheese Pupusa and Boudin Balls, my all time favorite Jazz Fest treat. We also caught some great music and had fun enjoying the weather and being outside on a Friday.
I walked straight from the Fairgrounds to Bayou Bicycles to pick up my new bike. All I can say is the bike rides better than it looks and it looks incredibly amazing. I'm really happy with it and rode for almost 45 minutes after picking it up. Today I rode for almost an hour and I've got to say the Bianchi Milano is a GREAT bike for riding in the city. My only limits at this point are my physical conditioning, which I am working hard to improve and the lack of a helmet / rear view combo, which I will be purchasing next weekend. I think after a few weeks I'll be tough enough to start commuting to work on a regular basis.
The Bianchi looks Sweet. Beautiful design.
A few days ago, I purchased a new Trek Hybrid 7200. It's a smooth riding bike. It's worth every penny. I got the bike because I like to ride the Tammany Trace.
I would love to ride with you and Sonny one day.
