Tomorrow night Krewe du Vieux, the first parade of the season, rolls with the theme "C'est Levee". This will kick off the most important Carnival in our city's history and it should be a night to remember. KdV is a big Krewe comprised of a multitude of smaller sub-krewes including Drips and Dishcarges, Krewe of Spermes and Krewe du Jieux amongst others. They always present a lewd, raucous and wonderfully satirical show and this year I expect them to be at the top of their game.
If you're out and about in the Frenchmen area be sure to drop by our house for cocktails before the parade, otherwise I hope to see you out on the streets.
Howdy,
Krewe du Jieux, unfortunately, doesn't exist any more. However, Krewe of Pan does.
You won't miss me. I'll be the mime.

Go to their website...big split, and a replacement "krewe de mishigas", which may throw out bagels.
Our crew will have golden croissants!

Hell yes, Bagels will be thrown! Doesn't Mishiga mean crazy in Yiddish? That's so awesome. Can't wait to see them.
